Finally got approved for Chase Freedom Unlimited

Just wanted to share my joy~! I have applied for this card about 5 times over the course of a year or two, and finally got approved this time. I brought my credit up because I just closed on a house, and I wanted to get a few cards before my credit dips when the mortgage hits my report. Been building my credit for about 2 years now.

Experian: 755
Equifax: 732
TransUnion: 743

Got approved for a $6400 limit, and can’t wait to get that sweet cash back rewards, and the bonus!

  1. Congratulations! It’s a good card that I use a lot. The 1.5 points on everything is pretty sweet.

  2. Chase Freedom question I’m hoping someone could answer… I am looking to make a TV purchase and want to do it with a Freedom (will be a combo to my Sapphire Preferred but would like the 0% interest over 15 months). Should I wait until I get the card to purchase the TV, or would I be ok to put it on the Sapphire and then transfer the balance over? My understanding is the Freedom has 0% APR for purchases and balance transfers. Anything I’m missing here or can I do it either way? (I’d like to lock in the sale price the TV is at right now…)

  3. CONGRATS! I’m right there with you just got my card 2 days ago! Welcome to the family

  4. Take note they charge international conversion fee in case you travel outside the country
